Google has quietly released 3D Imagery in more new cities including Atlanta, Chicago, Edmonton, Winnipeg, West Midlands (UK) and perhaps a few others. As with the previous cities they’ve updated, it looks phenomenal from the air though a bit rough when you get down to ground level.
Google hasn’t announced every addition to their 3D Imagery, so I’ve been working on building a comprehensive list. With the help of our old blog entries, old Lat Long Blog entries, Wikipedia, @seandhattersley, and GEB reader ‘Munden’, I think I have a pretty solid list. If you know of other cities that are already showing the 3D Imagery, please leave a comment and let us know.

Thanks – very helpful.
Couple of minor things – San Sebastian is listed in Switzerland as well as Spain, Saint-Louis in France is really a suburb of Basel and part of that set of imagery which also continues into suburbs across the border into Germany, and Leeds UK lies within the more extensive coverage of West Yorkshire.
Thanks Chris! Those have been corrected now.
Cagliari in Italy is misspelled and Linz in Austria is mentioned in Germany too.
Good catches. Fixed!
Also: Adelaide, Australia
Thanks Andrew — it’s on the list now.
This is 3D imagery in Google Earth or 45 degrees imagery in Google Maps?
Google Earth 3D Imagery, which is in Earth Client, Earth Plugin and the new Google Maps tech preview.
Although, you’ve probably noticed that a place having orthogonal/45 degree imagery in Google Maps is a good indicator of whether 3D Imagery for that place may eventually appear.
no new imagery of philippines?
