It appears that Google has just pushed out a major update to Street View, covering areas in many states around the US and many countries around the world.  Thanks to GEB reader ‘Munden’ for being the first to notice it, and for compiling the list below.

Skagens Museum is new in Denmark. The only other dense locations I saw before were in Copenhagen.

Can any GEB reader help by explaining the process of Street View update? Are there mainly large batches of updates as with GE imagery, or is it more constant. Google LatLong certainly features new coverage when on a country wide basis, and new imagery of special locations as it has done this time, but does more go on in the background?

There is now some newer imagery in the UK, for example from 2012 in West Yorkshire, updating the very comprehensive UK coverage of 2009, but the extent of such change is hard to determine and sometimes to understand – physical change, new points of interest, defective imagery, and so on?

Since 2009, Connecticut has not had a major street view update… at least for now.

A lot of the images are really blurry and make CT look like barf. When I see how old many of the NE street view images are I wind up almost crying.

Google seems to have gotten lazy but then again they are becoming known for their spying techniques so they are likely spying on us instead of doing what they used to do thanks to big brother.

Still no StreetView for Indonesia, and they’re still recording as of 17 June. Interestingly, they reached my regency where I live.

I wonder what happened to interior street view they so advertise. http://venturebeat.com/2011/10/26/google-maps-interior-view/

Are they trying to hide it?
