My friends James and Alex Turnbull, who write GoogleSightseeing.com, have been busy turning their work into a book which is called “Off the Map – The Most Amazing Sights on Earth as Seen by Satellite“. In the UK the same book will go by “Not in the Guide Book – The wackiest sights in Google Earth, as seen by Googlesightseeing.com“. I guess they have to get permission to reprint all those satellite images? How would that work?
Yes, they had to get permission. I’m assuming they simply wrote a letter referencing the photos they wanted and had to give proper credit to the suppliers of the photos.
