Happy Birthday Google Earth Blog

Happy Birthday Google Earth BlogHappy Birthday! Google Earth Blog was first published one year ago today. A lot has happened in the last year for Google Earth, and I’ve learned a lot about blogging. Over 500 blog entries, over 1000 published comments (not counting spam), over 1000 images, and several million readers. The response from readers has been overwhelmingly positive. I hope all of you will continue reading the blog as Google Earth, and the content published by its users, continues to evolve and improve during the next year. Many thanks to the many bloggers who I’ve grown to know and who have helped me or given me ideas for improvement. In particular I want to thank the folks belonging to: OgleEarth, GoogleMapsMania, the MapRoom, GoogleSightSeeing, the Google Earth Community and its moderators, and the Google Earth Team.

I am from Fogo,Fogo Island Newfoundland Canada, here we recieve thousands of tourist every year from all over the world who come to see whales, birds, icebergs, open sea regetta, Brimstone head (which is considered to be one of the four corners of the earth by the flat earth society) our world renoun walking trail system and various festivals. On Google earth we are seen in the winter season and not summer, so people who view us there from other parts of the world think we do not have summer and therefore do not want to vacation in a cold location. The surounding places near Fogo Island are shown in the summer months so is there any way we can be shown the same.
Thank’s and I really like Google Earth.
