Google Earth 4 Visual Guides

August 21, 2006

(click for bigger images)

Back in March, Noel Jenkins contacted me to share some visual guides he created to help provide basic and advanced understanding of the Google Earth 3 interface. He now has posted similar guides for Google Earth 4 Beta. You can click on these images to see larger versions, or you can go to his post and download word documents which will let you print these guides.
Noel is also a devoted user of geographical browsers for education. He has two blogs: Digital Geography and Juicy Geography which contain useful information to educators. I particularly like his innovative ways of using technology in the classroom to teach geography – especially the use of Google Earth.

About Frank Taylor

Frank Taylor started the Google Earth Blog in July, 2005 shortly after Google Earth was first released. He has worked with 3D computer graphics and VR for many years and was very impressed with this exciting product. I don’t know what I’ve done wrong but I don’t get the same detail as what shows up in the help menu. My close-ups are just a big blurr – even 3D doesn’t work.
