Explore Jackson Hole Mountain Resort with Google Earth
If you're heading out to Jackson Hole Mountain Resort in Wyoming any time soon, you'd be wise to check out the new 3D trail map of the mountain from the folks at The Mountain Pulse.
The map provides a wealth of information about the slopes, lifts, restaurants and other amenities. If you're comfortable navigating around in Google Earth, it's quite awesome.
However, that's the one problem here -- aside from the native controls, there are no other methods to navigate around. For example, when you click on a slope you get a very slick pop-up that tells you about it, but it would be nice if it would also fly you down to get a nice look at the layout of the slope.
A good example would be EarthSwoop and other sites like that, where the main window can be controlled with the native commands if you'd like, but most people simply click the items along the bottom to quickly fly to that location.
Minor gripes aside, this is a slick tool to explore the mountain. Go check it out for yourself at TheMountainPulse.com.

Now that is a proper ski map. Hopefully it will inspire others like our Mt Hood to do the same.
