The Santa tracker 2009 is now live!

It's Christmas Eve! Once again, NORAD and Google have teamed up to provide the Santa tracker, to watch the big man as he flies around the world.

The Santa Tracker is vastly improved this year. Rather than downloading a KML file that updates every few minutes, it's all done using the Google Earth Plug-in. You can watch him fly in real-time from city to city and make his deliveries. There's even a counter at the bottom to show how many gifts have been delivered so far.

Go here to view the Santa Tracker, or you can visit m.noradsanta.org to track him on your mobile phone (details). You can also view this Google Map to see his current location and where he's been so far, or follow the @NoradSanta Twitter account to get updates on his location.

For more info, you can check out the main Norad Santa site, or read some of the history of the NORAD tracker in story that cnet wrote a few days ago.

Gulo -- I don't think there is, though I'd love to see it too. If you're able to dig one up, let me know.

This is it folks. Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, 2009. Christmas is finally here. I hope Santa brings me lots of good stuff. Cuz I know I've naughty and nice. No matter what it's going to be a good one. Have a Very Merry Christmas. And God Bless Us Everyone.
