Six more cities added to Building Maker

In their continuing work to expand the popular Building Maker tool, Google has just added six more cities to the list, bringing the total number of cities up to 64:

  • Stockholm, Sweden
  • Nuremberg, Germany
  • Hiroshima, Japan
  • Saitama, Japan
  • Miami Beach, FL USA
  • Orlando, FL USA

As far as I can tell, none of the existing cities have yet been expanded to cover a wider area. They're still all quite small, though I expect them to be gradually expanded over time. If you know of any that have already expanded, please let us know.

If you're not yet familiar with the Building Maker tool, this short video will give you a nice overview of it:

I just noticed you can search for other cities than the ones listed: for example try Milan, Italy, It works!

This looks terrific! That means if i want to make a foreclosure and check out the property it is all so easy and simple. The property view looks very clear and lucid.

Does anyone else know any 'secret' cities that are available to building maker. I've tried several in the UK with no luck - London, Leeds, Manchester, Sheffield, Liverpool. :(

Hey guys yesterday I was so happy about Milan in building maker and now have you seen? They've released all the town in 3D! Wonderful!

Now the interesting point is, that google has obviously angled air plane pictures that are similar to microsofts birds eye view. I hope that it is only a matter of time until google will integrate a birds eye mode in their apps.
