Google releases StreetView for Prague

Google continues to expand their coverage of StreetView, having just released imagery for Prague in the Czech Republic. This comes just a few months after Google unveiled 3D buildings for much of the city.
Not only can you view it in Google Maps, but you can also check out the new StreetView imagery using Google Earth — here are some tips on how to do that.
Google Maps Mania has already pointed out some neat sites, such as:
Old Town Square

Charles Bridge

Jindrisska Tower

If you make any other neat discoveries, share them in the comments below or add them to the Google Earth Hacks StreetView section.

  1. StreetView also for major cities, towns in Canada!

  2. This time the USA and Japan was expanded.
Furtheron Montreal, Ontario, Quebec (Can) and Prague (and surrounding) Czech Republic.

  3. Oops, I wrote Ontario instread of Toronto.

  4. I noticed additional imagery in the U.S., too, but why, oh, why, can we not have the high resolution imagery nearly every other country has?
On the other hand, I noticed the new photos of Japan are also low-res.

  5. It’s not just Prague, but the rest of Czech Republic too

  6. HQ coverage in a lot of streets in New York City too!

  7. Nice, anyway Google was talking about more cities in Czech republic and also imagery from trikes, but none of that is in current version, hope that more updates will follow

  8. Is Google planning to include the street view images in the historical image context?
That is, some areas have been re-imaged, but the street view now shows only the recent images.
    Thanks.

  9. I would like to get the attention of the Steetview team. The Soccer World Cup is coming to South Africa in June 2010 and since the whole world watches the tournament, I think it would be a great idea if they could start getting streetview images of South African cities ready to be available in time for kick off!

  10. Brian Pugh says:

Can you tell me when the streetview images of locations in Toronto were taken? If not, can you direct me to a site (or someone) who might know?
    Thank you very much,
    Brian Pugh.
