Stonehenge in High-Res in Google Earth Now
One of the areas not detailed in the update from the 18-April-2006 database update to Google Earth is that Stonehenge and the surrounding area have been updated to a higher-resolution satellite photo. You can now clearly see the stones of Stonehenge. See this placemark for Stonehenge
.
[UPDATE 2008: If you turn on the 3D Buildings layer, there is now an excellent 3D rendering of Stonehenge in Google Earth as well.]
Thanks to 'Cyclonic' at the Google Earth Community for alerting me to this undocumented update. I will report more analysis of the new data during the day tomorrow.
